Who We Are

Lighthouse is the youth ministry of Austin Chinese Church leading 6th to 12th grade students to grow in their relationship with Jesus. We accomplish this through Scripture, discipleship, prayer, and missions. We desire to relevantly meet our students where they experience their particular hurdles to living out the Gospel in their own lives. Lighthouse is a safe space for students to explore the meaning and purpose of their lives through God’s Word and forming meaningful friendships.

What is Lighthouse?

Our Youth Pastor: Dominic Chan

Pastor Dominic Chan joined ACC in 2015 as the youth pastor shepherding middle and high school students and their parents. Growing up in Southern California, he became a Christian through a youth summer camp. He received his calling to ministry as a high school senior. He graduated from Boston University with a business degree in finance and entrepreneurship and received his Master of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Before joining ACC, Dominic apprenticed at Boston Chinese Evangelical Church and interned at Golden Gate Christian Church in San Francisco. Dominic met his wife, Lynn, in college through Intervarsity and they are passionate to see Chinese-American students richly steeped in the Gospel to reach the world. They have three young sons, Micah, Jordan, and Zion. In his spare time, Dominic enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, playing basketball, traveling, reading, listening to podcasts, and wandering up and down the aisles of Costco.

Our Youth Ministry Assistant: Bethany Kwan

Bethany began serving as the Youth Ministry Assistant in 2025. Bethany practically grew up at ACC and served as a Student Ministry Team leader while she was in Lighthouse. She is currently an architecture major at Texas Tech and will be pursuing her Master’s in Architecture at Texas Tech. She’s passionate about serving Lighthouse students because she personally understands their experience and desires they have a formative time in middle and high school to grow in their faith.
